Light's Embrace [Priest]

"The Light will prevail with heroes like you."

The Light can be used for many things; to protect the weak, to heal the sick, and to drive the demons away from Azeroth.  Wielding the healing power of the Light; these priests are on the front line of all battles; heroically healing those injured and providing reassurance to those who need it most—the most powerful force in the universe is right beside them.

The shoulders for this transmog were so unique and interesting that I wanted to make a transmogrification around them.  Sadly, I couldn't match the green mist with anything else, but in the end, I think that is fine.  Many of these items come from the Random Number Generator in World of Warcraft and, as such, might take some time to put together.  The end result, however, is quite nice and fits any Priest quite well.

Ferocious Gladiator's Satin Hood (PvP Gear - Legion)
Chaos-Scarred Mantle (Chronomatic Anomaly - Mythic Nighthold)
Robes of Demonic Purpose (Inquisitor Metro or Sotanthor -Legion Invasion Portal)
Orgrimmar Gloves (50 Iron Horde Scraps - War Mill in the Frostwall Garrison)
Cord of Blossoming Petals (Eonar - Normal Antorus, the Burning Throne)
Cloak of the Master at Arms (Relinquished Cloak token - Thaumaturge Vashreen)

Tribal [Shaman]

"While we walk a different path from from other Shaman; we still answer the Element's call"

Dealing with the bones of the fallen, with sacred drums and rattles, and wielding carefully crafted totems; these spiritual leaders of the tribal groups of Azeroth take their job seriously.  Protecting not only the lands of their people but the connection with the elements as well; these witch doctors and tribal shamans hear the call of Azeroth to protect not only the sacred land, but their people as well.  Woe to those who defile the ground, who slaughter the innocent, who tread on taboo lands—the wrath of the Shaman is here.

A first look at transmogrification for the Highmountain Tauren.  I have to admit that I have been focused on leveling as a Shaman and, as such, have a lot of ideas for this class.  The helm has always been my favorite but it usually works best with the rest of the set--so I wanted to find something that the helm could go with.  The majority of these items comes from Wrath of the Lich King (my favorite expansion) so you may have some of these items already in your Appearances Tab.  The end result is a good look for somebody that wants a little less civilization in their transmogrification.

Snowstorm Helm (Valitheria Dreamwalker - 25H Icecrown Citadel)
Brittle Flamereaver's Pauldrons (Drop - Isle of Thunder)
Cuirass of Cruel Intent (Icehowl -25H Trial of the Crusader)
Leggings of the Lurking Threat (Anub'arak - 25H Trial of the Crusader)
Ulduar Gauntlets (Drop - Wrath of the Lich King Dungeons)
Wild Gladiator's Waistguard of Victory (Warlords Season 2 PvP - 2 Mark of Honor)
Grimtotem Cloak (Quest:More than Coincidence - Dustwallow Marsh )

Priestess of the Flame [Priest]

"The flames of the temples must be well tended"

Tending the flames of the temples around Azeroth is quite a task and one that many do not take lightly.  Accorded a special place in the circle of Priests; these individuals are ready for battle no matter where it may take them.

While this set focuses mainly on PvP items gathered from this expansion, there are a couple of additions from previous expansions that help round it out.  Red and gold is obviously the main color scheme and may be different from other Priest’s choices...but this outfit you will help you stand out from the crowd.  Interestingly enough; this set looks good on both male and female models which is not always the case with cloth gear.

Ferocious Gladiator's Satin Hood (PvP Season 6 in Legion)
Primal Aspirant's Satin Mantle (PvP Season 1 in Warlords - Three Marks of Honor)
Dominant Gladiator's Satin Robe (PvP Season 6 in Legion)
Muddied Crimson Gloves (Tanak (Frenzyheart Quartermaster - Sholazar Basin)
Grom'tor's Bloodied Bandage (Quest Reward - Shadowmoon Valley)
Purifier's Drape (Trilliax - The Nighthold)

No pants, footwear, or bracers are needed for this transmog.

Death's Totem [Shaman]

"There are good spirits and bad spirits in the other world...I deal with both"

The space between the spirit realm and the waking world is thin and requires constant vigilance to ensure that some spirits do not come back.  These guardians who preside over some of the Horde death practices help ensure that no vengeful spirits ever make their way back to wreak havoc on the living as well as provide communication with those departed.

This set utilizes two amazing parts of the Legion Gladiator gear for Shaman...the best I feel being the belt.  The main theme, of course, is skulls with the gloves helping to tie in the belt used in this transmogrification.  Who doesn't like skulls on their armor?    Keeping the general color scheme helped to create an armor set that not only looks nice but is sure to get a few heads turning for a second look while battling it out in Azeroth.

Wild Gladiator's Helm (PvP Season 2 in Warlords - Three Marks of Honor)
Brittle Flamereaver Pauldrons (Drop from Isle of Thunder)
Fierce Gladiator's Ringmail Armor (PvP Season 5 in Legion)
Taloned Brain-Scrapers (Malificus - Broken Shore)
Fierce Gladiator's Ringmail Clasp (PvP Season 5 in Legion)
Fierce Gladiator's Totemic Cloak (PvP Season 5 in Legion)

No pants, footwear, or bracers are needed for this transmog.

Frozen Wrath [Death Knight]

"Death is like ice; cold and uncaring"

Trained on the ancient glacier of which the dead wander aimlessly; these Death Knights are the epitome of the Frost of which they wield.  With the chilling touch of the grave these Knights take the battle to all foes both living and dead.  Death knows no bounds and these frozen Knights are truly unstoppable as the death they wield.

A mix and match of different armor from different expansions always leads to something interesting and fun.  The shoulders are my favorite and finding a transmogrification that helps lend to the ferocity of Death Knights.  Adding more items that were blue tinged or with skulls on them helped complete the final outfit seen here.  Wielding the Blades of the Fallen Prince, especially with the icy weapon skin, totally completes this look.  So go out there and freeze your enemies blood…in style.

Peacebreaker's Heavy Helm (Quest: Nazgrim's Command - The Jade Forest)
Wrathful Gladiator's Dreadplate Shoulders (PvP - Season 8)
Dreadwake Bonecage (Eonar - Mythic Antorus, the Burning Throne)
Hemet's Armored Legguards (Quest: Stalker Mastery - Valley of the Four Winds)
Narsong Handwraps (Quest: Why So Serious - Krasarang Wilds)
Runescriven Demon Collar (Hagara the Stormbinder - Dragon Soul)
Stompers of Brazen Terror (Kilrogg Deadeye - Normal Hellfire Citadel)
Shroud of the Drowned Adherent (Mistress Sassz'ine - Tomb of Sargeras)

Like with most Tauren transmogrifications; no bracers are needed.

Defender [Warrior]

"Halt!  Who goes there?  Just kidding."

They are the guards and the watchers; dedicated to keeping their homes and families safe.  They are the keepers and defenders; willing to risk their own lives for others.  They spend long hours under the hot sun in faraway places and frequent the many taverns while not on duty.  They are the ones that respond the quickest the threats in the heart and borders of Horde territory.  They are the defenders of the Horde and they are here slay the Alliance which would threaten the Horde--at all costs.

The belt helps to bulk up the body of an already bulky Tauren which make the character appear massive...perfect for a warrior.  The helm was very hard to chose for this transmogrification...that is why I went with no helm.  This set started with the chest, legs, and belt and moved on from there--eventually adding in the spiky features of the PvP gear.  The items for this transmogrification should be easy to get if you haven't gotten them already--with the exception of the belt which can only be dropped by Aggramar on mythic difficulty.

Ferocious Gladiator's Plate Shoulders (PvP - Legion)
Blackrock Chestpiece (Level 2 War Mill in your Garrison)
Blackrock Legplates (Level 2 War Mill in your Garrison)
Ferocious Gladiator's Plate Gauntlets (PvP - Legion)
Grond-Father Girdle (Aggramar - Antorus, the Burning Throne (M))
Ferocious Gladiator's Plate Warboots (PvP - Legion)
Nightmare Shroud (World Drop - Broken Isles)

The Sleeper [Druid]

"Hibernation does wonders the body and mind--but sometimes you wake up on the wrong side of the barrow..."

The Legion has disturbed their slumber and all shall pay the price.  These defenders of nature have awoken in time to help punish the enemies of Azeroth; armed with bladed weapons, natural healing, brute primal strength, and a strong desire to get back to sleep; the defenders of Azeroth have another ally watching their backs.  "Never wake a sleeping bear" is an apt saying, but you should fear waking a sleeping druid even more.

I love the Winterfin Patch of Honor...it makes any transmogrification a little more ferocious.  Add in bear claws and sharp armor bits and you have yourself a winner!  This set mostly came from the fact that I had some of the Gladiator transmog but not all of it and I still wanted to wear it and be fashionable in the streets of Dalaran.  Finding a good belt was a little difficult...leather belts are kinda boring sometimes.  However, in the end, this transmogrification looks dangerous and cuddly at the same time--perfect for when you are out of animal form (are druids ever out of animal form?).

Winterfin Patch of Honor (30 Winterfin Clams - Borean Tundra)
Ferocious Gladiator's Dragonhide Spaulders (PvP - Legion)
The Butcher's Apron (Hannval the Butcher - Stormheim)
Dominant Gladiator's Dragonhide Legguards (PvP - Legion)
Ferocious Gladiator's Dragonhide Gloves (PvP - Legion)
Warhide Belt (Legion Crafted - Leatherworking)
Stormborn Treads (Quest - Regal Remains in Stormhiem)

Like with most Tauren transmogrifications; no bracers are needed.

Fel-Touched [Hunter]

"Fel burns more than flesh; it has a way of torturing the soul as well...be wary of it."

Fighting the Legion does have its benefits...as well as its drawbacks.  Hunting the unending hordes of the Legion seems to leave a bit of Fel with all it touches—even those brave heroes of Azeroth who have taken the fight to the Burning Legion.  Some, however, have accepted this change and embraced the Fel, much like the demon hunters have, and used the power of the corrupted energies to give them the extra edge to punish the demons for coming to the lands of Azeroth.

This set started with the gloves and the chest and developed from there.  The gloves are, by far, my favorite part of this set and the chest piece brilliantly ties them in to almost anything you can put together.  Yes, the main color scheme for this expansion is green (and I think many of us are getting tired of this color), but I fell that many elements of this transmogrification will translate into the next expansion armors as well.

Castellan's Blinders (Moroes - Return to Karazhan)
Feludius Mantle (Ascendant Council - Normal The Bastion of Twilight)
Enthralling Chain Armor (Greater Invasion -Sotanathor or Mistress Alluradel)
Fel-Linked Crushers (Greater Invasion - Sotanathor, Pit Lord Vilemus, or Inquisitor Metro)
Links of the Disintegrator (Durumu the Forgotten - Heroic Throne of Thunder)
Cloak of Stifling Brimstone (Goroth - Tomb of Sargeras)

While wearing pants and shoes are recommended for this transmogrification they are not visible and do not need to be changed.  Like with most Tauren transmogrifications; no bracers are needed.

Companions of the Red Fist [Monk}

"Why do we fight? To protect Home, and Family... To preserve Balance, and bring Harmony."

The Companions spend their time in spiritual contemplation and diligent martial practice in the quiet places around Azeroth.  However, the Companions of the Red Fist pride themselves on their combat skills and are always ready to serve as skilled fighters at a moment’s notice.  As such, they are often utilized as guards for monasteries or employed as escorts for the transportation of documents, dignitaries, or barrels of beer.  Recently the Companions have found themselves needed around more parts of Azeroth in these times of troubles—often teaming up with adventurers to take on bigger problems.

This set is a simple transmogrification for the Monk class; but I have found that sometimes the simpler the better.  The Worldbender's Waistband and the Mask help add a little bit of color into this set--just enough to where the overall outfit isn’t seen as too dull.  Grab your friends and travel to Hellfire Citadel in the jungles of Tanaan to work on attaining a good portion of these armor looks if you don't already have them--and take time to enjoy the splendors of Winterspring, the land of perpetual winter, for some other items on this list (bring a scarf).

Mask of the Hurricane's Eye (Kormrok - Normal Hellfire Citadel)
Shy Shrug (Quest - Shy-Rotam in Winterspring)
Vest of the Smoking Pit (Quest- A Bird of Legend in Winterspring)
Sludge-Resistant Waders (Kormrok - Normal Hellfire Citadel)
Ironpelt Mitts (Tyrant Velhari - Normal Hellfire Citadel)
Worldbender's Waistband (Ra-den - Throne of Thunder 10N)
Griftah's Authentic Troll Shoes (Ravika - Darkspear Quartermaster)

Highmountain Tauren May Be Closer Than We Think!

"The Highmountain Tauren are an offshoot of Tauren found in the region of Highmountain on the Broken Isles. Divided into four tribes (Highmountain, Rivermane, Skyhorn and Bloodtotem), they are the direct descendants of the Tauren led by Huln Highmountain who assisted the Kaldorei Resistance during the War of the Ancients.  During the war, Huln received a blessing from Cenarius, so that his people would forever have the demigod's favor, granting them the Horns of Eche'ro: moose-like antlers." --Wowpedia

If you are like me, you are very excited that the Highmountain Tauren are to be a playable Horde race!  The addition of a different type of Tauren culture is a big thing for many of us.  Not only does it signal the growth of a game we love but also gives us a bit wider world in which to immerse ourselves in—different cultures or, sub-races as they were called back in the day, add a new and exciting dimension in the world of Azeroth.

While there has been a lot of speculation as to when we will be able to have our very own moose-antlered Tauren, we do know a couple of things listed below.  While you may already know about these its still a fun thing to go over to get your excitement level up.

Odyn's Chosen [ Warrior ]

"For Odyn!"

The Chosen of Odyn are few but don't let their small numbers fool you--they more than make up it on the battlefield.  Brutal, savage, and valor-bound; the Chosen are the sword of the mightiest of the Titan-forged and ready for battle anytime and anywhere.  Prepared against the day that Yogg-Saron's escapes his prison the Chosen a powerful army ready for battle at a moment's notice.

This set can be farmed exclusively in the current expansion (Legion) and is collected by running various dungeons.  The transmogrification is somewhat monochromatic but still looks good on a Tauren warrior especially with a weapon that stands out.  For those that have been playing Legion for a while you may already have this set.

Crown of Ash (Ash'golm - Vault of the Wardens)
Mortar Guard Shoulderplates (Tirathon Saltheril - Vault of the Wardens)
Breastplate of Preservation (Oakheart - Darkheart Thicket)
Rook Footman's Legplates (Lord Kur'talos Ravencrest - Black Rook Hold)
Rumblestone Gauntlets (Dargrul - Neltharion's Lair)
Magmacrusher's Girdle (Ash'golm - Vault of the Wardens)
Dignitary's Traveling Cloak (Relinquished Cloak - Thaumaturge Vashreen)

Riven Priestess [ Priest ]

"The Shadow calls...do you hear it?"

A blind eye is given to those who work with the Shadow; tolerated in Netherlight Temple and whispered about in the corners of well-lit halls.  The Shadow Priest, however, understands the need for balance while delving headfirst into the Shadow for in the Shadow there is power.

Ever since I first started getting the Riven cloth gear I was enthralled.  It looked nice, especially for a Shadow Priest, and I wanted to see if I could incorporate part of the set into a nice looking transmogrification.  There were a few things that needed to be changed, obviously, but the overall effect is something demonic and dark yet forged in the Light...an interesting blend.  As a note, the gloves have a lot of different lookalikes and can be found all over Draenor...the glove model is not unique.

As an important note: the helm only looks good on the female model.

Riven Priesthood Cap (Relinquished Hood - Thaumaturge Vashreen)
Riven Priesthood Amice (Relinquished Spaulders - Thaumaturge Vashreen)
Raiment of the Ternion Glory (Heroic Vendor in Shrine of Two Moons)
Anruin's Grips of Agony (World Drop - Draenor)
Wild Combatant's Cord of Cruelty (Warlords Season 2 PvP - 1 Mark of Honor)
Inherited Cape of the Black Baron (Heirloom)

Like with most Tauren transmogrifications; no bracers are needed.  Additionally, don't worry about the pants or shoes (though I recommend wearing them!).

The Brute [Warrior]

"The Horde will be victorious...or die trying."

Often mocked for their lack of magical powers; the Brutes of the Horde do not listen to fools.  They know that in the heat of battle against their adversaries it is the strength of their arm, the temper of their blades, and the size of their heart that matters.  Rushing headfirst into battle is their calling and to live or die for the Horde is the greatest accomplishment this group of soldiers believe in--Slay the enemy, take their stuff, rinse, repeat.

I chose to not have a helm show on this transmogrification for two reasons: first, the gear follows part of the fantasy of the class by epitomizing brute force and berserk rage (and the lack of regard for proper head protection in combat), and two, I couldn't find a helm I liked with this outfit.  You can choose if you want to see your Tauren's head while playing or find a helm that you actually like (for plate items it is difficult sometimes with the Tauren model).

No Helm (Turn it off at the Transmogrifier)
Blackrock Pauldrons (Level 2 War Mill in your Garrison)
Vicious Pyrium Breastplate (Crafted)
Vicious Pyrium Legguards (Crafted)
Vicious Pyrium Guantlets(Crafted)
Girdle of Bound Agony (Soulbound Construct - Normal Hellfire Citadel)
Blackrock Greaves (Level 2 War Mill in your Garrison)
Cloak of the Burning Vanguard (Garothi Worldbreaker - Normal Antorus)

Patch 7.3 Transmog Sets : Fierce Gladiator (Paladin)

"The demons shall suffer greatly--even Sargeras will shake in terror."

For some reason I thought that the Paladin set would look more...imposing (and perhaps look a little more like something a Paladin would wear).  There are some wonderful items in this transmog but the set as a whole is somewhat lacking--Perhaps it is the color scheme.  However, that being said the overall details of this transmogrification are quite stunning and overall it is still a beautiful set.

The set is for the last remaining PvP seasons for Legion and can be easily acquired through the PvP world quests around the Broken Shore.  Simply check the PvP World Quests everyday and group up to destroy the Alliance to get parts of your set.  Make sure to group up because it makes the world quest that much easier.

This is the last of the Patch 7.3 Transmog Set series for Taurens and next week we will once again start looking at unique and interesting transmogs for your Tauren as he or she conquers Argus and the Burning Legion and prepares for all out war with the Alliance in the next expansion.

Patch 7.3 Transmog Sets : Fierce Gladiator (Hunter)

"The Naga are no longer a concern for us..."

Kudos to Blizzard for making a good looking hunter outfit!  While it does look like we stole the armor from various Naga around the world; this transmogrification has a wonderful feel for hunters for any specialization.  All of the pieces, especially the gauntlets and the shoulders, work well for this class and help add a dangerous feel to a class that has been sorely lacking in good armor the past several expansions.  I look forward to incorporating some of these items into future transmogs.

Patch 7.3 Transmog Sets : Fierce Gladiator (Warrior)

"Now we hear the drums of war."

This transmogrification has one amazing feature that blows the rest out of the water: the boots.  While normally footwear for Taurens is hit or miss (usually miss) this set's boots really stand out.  Overall, this set is quite nice especially the shoulders and the hands and the whole set together makes a statement of ferocity and power.  The set looks like a warrior of the Horde.

Patch 7.3 Transmog Sets : Fierce Gladiator (Monk)

"The wise monk knows that a tomato is a fruit."

It may just be the helm, but this transmogrification for the PvP gear doesn't do it for me.  While it looks okay on Tauren it works much better on Pandaran...but then, not everything works well for the Tauren body shape and build.  The shoulders and especially the gloves are the best part of this set and, with some work, will fit nicely into other tranmog sets.

Patch 7.3 Transmog Sets : Fierce Gladiator (Priest)

"The Light heal you...now go out and kill some more demons"

Simplistic in design yet still amazing; the PvP Priest transmogrification is quite nice...the best part, in my opinion, being the helm.  The helm works well with the Priest Order Hall set and could be used for any number of striking priest outfits.  While the shoulders are reminiscent of previous tier outfits (something that for many of the newer outfits in this patch is normal) there are still many interesting bits to this outfit that ensure many, many transmogrification ideas in the future.

Patch 7.3 Transmog Sets : Fierce Gladiator (Shaman)

"Yeah, I got some totems..."

Overall; I love the shaman PvP gear.  While it does look best on a Troll, the look on the Tauren isn't all that bad and very unique.  A different helm could possibly be used, but in the end, the Fierce Gladiator set for the Tauren works out quite well for all specs of the Shaman class.  The shoulders are, by far, my absolute favorite and could possibly be used in other transmogrification sets in the future...and those gloves!

Finding a suitable weapon appearance might be of some difficulty, but that is the price to pay for a truly magnificent transmog.

Patch 7.3 Transmog Sets : Fierce Gladiator (Death Knight)

"We are Death, and death comes to all of our enemies."

I am not sure if I like the look of this outfit.  While there are some interesting pieces to this gear; the overall effect is underwhelming for a Death Knight--or perhaps there is too much going on with this look which is more suited for a Blood Death Knight.  I think that with different shoulders, a different helm, and perhaps even a different belt will help make the base of this set something quite interesting.
